The Evergreen Atrium is a Classical Christian high school community in Whatcom county designed to support homeschool families. The Evergreen Atrium was founded in 2024 by Kate Alva, a CiRCE Institute certified Master Teacher and homeschool mom.

The Evergreen Atrium offers a robust humanities curriculum consisting of Literature (including epics and poetics), Writing, Latin, and Philosophy/Logic, all with a conservative Christian worldview. Here's the Scope and Sequence for all 4 cycles.

All classes are in conjunction with the Saint Cassian Academy, a Catholic homeschool community. We study together in the morning, eat lunch in community, and then the Atrium students are done for the day. Protestants are certainly welcome to enroll in the afternoon History and Apologetics seminars. Please contact me if you have questions regarding how this can work for your family. If there's enough interest, I can arrange for an alternate history curriculum for your student that mostly parallels the one Cassian students use (like Notgrass). Apologetics isn't modifiable.

  • Epics and Literature: The Iliad and all of The Chronicles of Narnia

  • Poetics: We’ll take a slow walk through Hell reading Dante’s Inferno and read Shakespeare aloud

  • Writing: Students will learn persuasive essays using CiRCE’s Lost Tools of Writing.

  • Latin: First year Latin using Orberg’s Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrata

  • Logic: Kreeft's Socratic Logic, Part 1
